Where's Sparky?!
Our favorite firefly wants to visit Sparks clubs across America, including yours!

Where's Sparky?! is created to be an exciting collaboration between Sparkies everywhere, one that encourages them to build friendships, pray for each other and take part in an imaginative cross-country adventure. The goal: churches work together to send Sparky across the U.S. and learn about each other along the way!

Sparky's Off the Ground!
Awana headquarters started things off by mailing one numbered Sparky picture each to 100 randomly selected churches (of those that registered by September 26, 2008). All remaining clubs were divided up and placed on a unique mailing list included with each one of the traveling Sparkys. From there, each Sparky will be sent from one church to another throughout the ministry year.

Don't leave him stranded. Work together to keep Sparky moving and see how far he goes!

Official registration for Where's Sparky?! closed September 26, 2008, but your church can still participate. Join the Where's Sparky?! Forums and post your request directly to other participants. Click here to join the Forums.

Where's Sparky?! Forum
Enjoy meeting and staying in touch with fellow Sparks clubs. Join the Where's Sparky?! Forums, as soon as you register, to get in on the fun from the beginning. Churches can share stories, praises, and prayer requests. A search box even lets you find topics dedicated to your individual Sparky.

Knock, Knock ...
Here's what to do when Sparky arrives at your club:

  1. Read the enclosed Instruction and Prayer Request Form. It includes information about the club that sent Sparky to you, along with their prayer requests, and instructs you on what to do next.
  2. Tell your clubbers about the church that sent Sparky and pray for that church together.
  3. Take a picture of Sparky at a local landmark or other place of interest. Please do not include any kids in the picture. Why not?Due to photo release and privacy issues, "Where's Sparky?!" will not accept photos of children. Show Sparky near a natural attraction, a unique structure or monument, or even outside your church. We recommend that Sparky be held close in the foreground against a more distant background so he shows up well in the photo.
  4. Send your picture to us. You can e-mail it or upload it by clicking here.
  5. View your club's picture and many others. Check the Where's Sparky?! Web site to see everyone Sparky has visited.
  6. Download and print a new Instruction and Prayer Request Form

Bon Voyage!
When it's time to send Sparky to another church, fill out the Instruction and Prayer Request Form. Place it – along with the mailing list and, of course, Sparky – in an envelope. There are three methods for choosing the next receiving church:

  • See the mailing list of participating churches.
  • Browse the forums for churches asking someone to send Sparky their way.
  • Search the Awana Club Finder for churches around the U.S.

Remember, the fun doesn't end when Sparky is gone. Visit the Where's Sparky?! Web site and forums often to see where your Sparky has been and where he goes next. Encourage a lasting connection with the clubs you meet. You can even blog about your Sparky. Talk about your pictures and share praises about what God has done in your Sparks club.

Sparks club fellowship is reaching farther than ever! Sign up now to let your clubbers share in this interactive adventure. Who knows – Sparky might just visit your club first!
